KAMLOOPS — Make that a third straight shut out. Last night (Jan. 24) on the road, the Kamloops Blazers blanked the Prince George Cougars 3-0.

Josh Pillar led Kamloops with two goals, with Caedan Bankier chipping in an empty-net goal to the scoresheet as well. Meanwhile, goaltender Dylan Garand stopped all 27 shots he faced in net for Kamloops.

The Blazers have gone 209 minutes and 33 seconds without giving up a goal since Tri Cities scored in the second period in the Blazers’ 12-3 win on January 17. (The longest shut out streak in the WHL is 265 minutes and 13 seconds, held by the Flin Flon Bombers in the 1967-1968 season.)

The game was also Dylan Garand’s 4th shutout of the season, and the seventh for the Blazers.
