UPDATE: Trans Canada Highway at Chase reopens after small avalanche

CHASE, B.C. — UPDATE: Drive BC says the highway has reopened.

EARLIER: Debris from a small avalanche led to a closure on the Trans Canada near Chase Friday afternoon (Jan. 24).

The slide came down near the east end of the community around Shuswap Avenue.

According to Drive BC, only emergency vehicles are allowed through.

Drive BC plans to update the closure at 5:00 p.m.
