Warming trend bringing Kamloops temperatures above freezing

KAMLOOPS —After a week long cold spell in Kamloops, Environment Canada’s latest forecast shows the frigid weather trend is over for now.

Meteorologist Dave Ray says the area is starting to see significant warming after last week’s temperatures plummeted into the minus 25 range.

“Finally, through the next couple days with a high of about zero (or more) for Sunday (Jan. 19), so almost up to the freezing mark there.”

The warm trend continues with daytime highs for the rest of this week in Kamloops expected to be above zero degrees.
