Water leak shuts down wing of TRU’s Old Main

KAMLOOPS — One year after a water leak caused big problems to a building at Thompson Rivers University, the school is dealing with another major water leak.

Communications Director Darshan Lindsay says a burst water pipe flooded “about half a dozen” classrooms in the Old Main building Thursday (Jan. 16).

Lindsay says the impact of the leak was confined to one wing of the building, and the school is making alternate arrangements for classes that were scheduled for the affected rooms.

The school is targeting Tuesday (Jan. 21) for re-opening of the area affected by the water.
