KAMLOOPS — The B.C. Coroners Service has cancelled an inquest into a death at Kamloops Regional Correctional Centre more than five years ago.
Dylan Levi Judd, 20, was found dead in his cell in November of 2014.
Fellow inmate Nathaniel Jessup was eventually charged with killing Judd, but was acquitted at trial in June, 2019.
Jessup’s lawyer argued Judd died by suicide and B.C. Supreme Court Justice Sheri Donegan said the Crown’s circumstantial case left her with reasonable doubt.
