Traffic flowing after alleged incident in Rayleigh involving horse and rider

KAMLOOPS — Traffic along Highway 5 near Kamloops is flowing again, and vehicles blocked off near a train crossing in Rayleigh are moving, after a horse and its rider were allegedly involved in a train collision this morning (Jan. 12).

Initial reports from witnesses on scene say a horse, and possibly its rider may have been struck by a CN train, however there has been no confirmation yet from CN or BC Emergency Health Services on the matter.
