Kamloops building sector set new record in 2019, edging out 2018 totals

KAMLOOPS — The dust has settled on the building sector’s 2019 and Kamloops has set another record for construction activity.

According to the year-end numbers from the City of Kamloops, city hall doled out $288.3 million in building permits last year.

That edged out the $285 million total from 2018.

While single family construction was down last year, multi-family starts were up markedly.
