1934 – 2016

Ileen May Stacey of Kamloops passed away unexpectedly but peacefully with her loving family by her side on May 21, 2016 at 81 years of age.

Ileen is survived by her children, Ken (Leona) Stacey of Fort St. John, Leslie (Craig) Eppinger of Kamloops, Veronica (Rick) Stacey of Black Diamond AB, and April (Gary) Chudley of Kamloops. She will be dearly missed by her sister, Florence, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren with #8 due in 6 weeks, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband, Les Mitchell on Feb. 16, 2007 and brother George and sister Louise.

Ileen was born and raised in Manitoba. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and loved to spend lots of time in her garden. She grew numerous flowers, fruits and vegetables and always had various house plants.

Special thanks and great appreciation to all the doctors, nurses at Royal Inland Hospital, Ponderosa Lodge and Bedford staff for all their love and care.

There will be no service held at this time as she will be returning to Strathmore, AB to be with her loving husband, Les.
