1953 – 2016

With great sadness we announce the passing of Laurie Forster (62 years young) on July 27, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. Laurie is survived by her loving husband Malcolm, daughter Nicole (Kelly) Watson and their children Amber, Logan and Brett, son Stephen (Mika) Forster and their daughter Hazel, mother Edith Hicks, (predeceased by her father Bill Hicks), sister Betty (Russ) Styles, brother Terry (Ann) Hicks, many other family and friends. Laurie met Malcolm in her early years and at the age of 17 married her true love on May 28, 1971. Their daughter Nicole was born in 1979 before they moved to Kamloops in 1980 and shortly after they welcomed their son Stephen in 1982. The four of them travelled all over the province enjoying camping and the outdoors. In recent years, Laurie and Malcolm followed their passion of exploring and travelled all over the world, spending time in Asia, Africa, Europe, South and North America. Laurie, an avid Canucks fan, was loyal and loving, and will be dearly missed. A service will be held at Cottonwood Manor 730 Cottonwood Avenue, Kamloops, BC, on August 13, 2016 at 1pm.
