1951 – 2016

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ernie Steiert on August 16, 2016 after losing his battle with cancer. Ernie is survived by his loving wife, Anita Steiert, his children, Cheryl (Robin, Kyler, Jayde); Michael (Delilah, Metallia); and Therese (Damian), David, Katie, Matt; his mother, Margaret Steiert and his siblings; Morris, Judy, Linda, Dennis, Deanna, Leonard, Steven, Theresa, Kathleen, Marcel, Rita, Rosemary, Loretta, their significant others and many nieces and nephews. Ernie was predeceased by his father, Rudy Steiert.
Ernie was born on November 10, 1951 in Oyen, AB. He has many close friends and colleagues who have sustained him throughout his life and have become his extended family. Ernie worked with these friends in mines, on highways, in his body shop, and in other activities in management roles and maintenance services in many places in BC.

A Celebration of Ernie’s life will take place on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016 at 6:30 pm at 2563 Sandpiper Dr. Kamloops, BC.
