1939 – 2016

Robert Leonard Campbell passed away on September 28, 2016 at 5:50pm with his daughter at his side at the Marjory Willoughby Snowden Hospice House in Kamloops, BC. He was born August 11, 1939 in Canwood, Saskatchewan. Pre-deceased by his parents Robert (Bob) & Ruby Irene Campbell (Newman) and his brother James Campbell. He has left behind his sister Jenny Wiebe (Bob). Left to mourn is his wife of fifty five years Betty-Anne (Lamont) and his three children: Robert Brian Campbell, Lori Suzanne Marie Campbell (Dave) and Theresa Irene Steinke (Butch) and his two grandchildren Robyn Campbell & Cory Campbell.

Bob worked his entire career in the forest industry as a saw filer and was active with the Honeymoon Bay Volunteer Fire Department. He greatly enjoyed gardening, calling bingo, playing crib and talking with everybody and the time spent with the Knights of Columbus and the Sorrento Drop in Society.

The family will be holding a memorial mass at Holy Family Catholic Church in Valleyview located at: 2797 Sunset Drive, Kamloops BC at 3:00pm on October 12, 2016 with refreshments to follow.

The family would like to express their gratitude towards Dr. Swart and the nurses and volunteers at Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Society. A huge shout out to the volunteer who makes the cinnamon buns as they were Dad’s favorite and he looked forward to the day they were made!
