March 30, 1934 – November 15, 2016

Mrs. Marie Fidelia Lester passed away on November 15, 2016 at 10:15 pm at Royal Inland Hospital.
Mom was born in Lac La Biche, Alberta on March 30, 1934. She spent most of her youth growing up in Surrey. At a young age, she had to leave school to work and help her family. Mom worked hard all her life. Mom and dad owned businesses every place they lived, when mom and dad did not have their own business, mom worked in restaurants as a cook, line prep or washing dishes.
Mom married dad on February 14, 1953 in Saint Peters Church in New Westminster, B.C. In 1954 they started a family. Mom’s passions were the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and gardening.
Marie was predeceased by her parents Clara and Eugene Lamoreux, her sister Annette, her son in 1998 George Edward Lester, her husband in 2011 Edward (Ted) Joseph Lester, and her granddaughter Kyla Marie Baker in 1989.
Mom is loving remembered by her children: Ester Stainton (Harold), Raymond Lester (Jenny), Joanne Dyck (David) and Bill Lester; her eleven grandchildren Dean Baker, John Dyck, Erica Dyck, Nathan Dyck, Jamie Lester, Nina Lester, Elain Lester, Mark Lester, Christa Lester, Jessica Lester and Eva Lester. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren Brady, Caliese, Elizabeth, Daegan, Codie, Brook and Zoe.

Marie will be missed by all!

Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Holy Family Catholic Church.
