July 22, 1920 – January 11, 2017
Marguerite (Meg) was born to Mary and Healy Davis in Paddockwood, Saskatchewan on July 22, 1920. She married G.G. Elmer McNolty on June 20, 1940. Elmer was in the Army overseas from 1941 to 1945. Elmer and Meg raised 5 children, Barbara (Les Larkin), Beverly (Gordon Hurrie), Catherine (Oliver Hesse) Randy ( Norma Ellerby, Deceased), and Debbie Cunningham.
Meg is survived by brother Robert (Bob) Davis and wife, Pearl. Meg was predeceased by sisters Vera, Norma and Joan. Five generations include 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren. Meg especially enjoyed the visits of the grandchildren, nieces and nephews. As children, we were raised with unconditional love and Mom’s main focus in life was having a caring home and she was also gracious to all whom she met. Meg and Elmer spent many years in their motorhome travelling and exploring the backroads of B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan. These trips were the highlights of their retirement years. Elmer passed away in March of 2009 and Meg moved to the Renaissance Retirement Home and then to the Pine Grove Care Home. Meg opened her heart to the staff of these residences and in turn the staff circled her with love and great care. The four years at Pine Grove was filled with love and kisses all round. Moms’ face always lit up when anyone walked into her room and this never changed. Heaven now has a brighter star and love fills the sky
