September 18, 1962 – February 23, 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Daniel John Flottorp – loving husband, father, uncle, brother and son, and a great friend to all.
Dan left behind his wife of over 31 years, Barb, daughter Nikki (Jason) Fowles and son Ryan. Dan is also survived by his parents Jack and Lucy Flottorp of Port Coquitlam, BC, sister Pamela Ricalton of Kamloops, sister Susanne (Tim) of Port Coquitlam, BC, Barb’s dad Jack (Beryl) Coghlin of the Yukon, Barb’s sisters Shirley (Neil) McPhedran and Kim (Jim) Chadwick of Summerland, BC, Barb’s brothers John (Brenda) Coghlin of Calgary, AB and Tim (Barb) of Suamico, WI, along with many nieces and nephews, and numerous friends. We know he was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Dan was a wonderful, caring and fun-loving man who had a great sense of humor. His laughter and jokes were a gift to everyone who shared in his life. He brightened any room with his smile and could always turn a bad day into a good day. He was a selfless person who always put others first. Dan enjoyed sitting around a campfire, biking, hiking, golfing, camping, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Barb, Nikki and Ryan were his pride and joy, and family was very important to him. Dan was the best father in the whole world and mom’s soul mate and the love of her life. Dad, we love you unconditionally and our memories of you will never fade. You are always on our minds and will be forever in our hearts.
