1934 – 2017

It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of George Victor Louis Poncelet on November 8th, 2017, in Kamloops, BC, at 83 years of age. Left to cherish George’s memory is his loving wife of 59 years, Olive, and his daughter Monique. George was predeceased by his son, Mitchell on October 18th, 2016.

George was born in Haford, SK, in 1934. He was a welder his whole life, and owned Poncelet Welding in Kamloops for over 25 years. He was dedicated in his church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Prayers will be recited at St. John Vianney Parish, 2826 Bank Rd. in Kamloops on Sunday, November 19th, at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Funeral will take place at St. John Vianney Parish on Monday, November 20th, 2017 at 11:00 am, with Monsignor Jerry Desmond officiating.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Gabre, Dr. Dong, Dr. Kelly and the staff at Hospice.

In Lieu of flowers Memorial donations in George’s name may be made out to the Kamloops Hospice.
