KAMLOOPS — A longtime Kamloops resident is being inducted into the Field Hockey Canada Hall of Fame.

The name Jenny John was synonymous with field hockey in B.C. and throughout the rest of Canada during the 1970’s, 80’s and inito the 90’s, when she was heavily involved with field hockey in the 1993 Canada Summer Games in Kamloops.

A native of England, where John played the game, she moved to Canada in 1970 and immediately immersed herself in the sport, as a player on the national team, a coach, umpire and administrator.
