HALSEY, BTS MEMBER SUGA TEAM UP ON NEW SONG: Halsey and BTS member Suga have teamed up on a new song titled “Suga’s Interlude.” “Suga’s Interlude” explores themes like fulfillment, self-loathing and egotism, while also encouraging fans to keep pursuing their dreams and look to the future. Halsey and BTS previously released the song “Boy with Luv” in April. Halsey also shared a music video for the song “Finally // Beautiful Stranger.” The video shows Halsey performing at both an empty bar and for a crowd. “Two very different songs. Two very dreamy stories,” Halsey wrote on Instagram. “Suga’s Interlude” and “Finally // Beautiful Stranger” appear on Halsey’s forthcoming album Manic. The album debuts January 17th and features 14 other songs, including guest interludes with Alanis Morissette and Dominic Fike.

SHAED & STING JOIN FORCES ON NEW STEVE AOKI SONG: SHAED and Sting guest on a new track from Steve Aoki. The track, called “2 in a Million,” features the “Trampoline” trio’s lead vocalist Chelsea Lee duetting with the Police frontman over a beat from the superstar DJ. “We all grew up listening to Sting and The Police,” SHAED says. “He was a huge influence on all of us so when Steve approached us with the collab it was a no-brainer. We had the best time working with Steve and Sting and really love this track.” All three acts are featured in the “2 in a Million” video. You’ll also be able to hear the track on Aoki’s forthcoming album, Neon Future IV. SHAED will close out their breakout year with a performance on the West Coast portion of Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2020, airing December 31st on ABC.

ELLIE GOULDING SHARES FOOTAGE WITH ‘HATE ME’ COLLABORATOR JUICE WRLD: Ellie Goulding posted a silent tribute to the late Juice Wrld, who tragically died of a seizure at the age of 21 on Sunday. “We will miss you Juice x,” Ellie captioned the video, which featured footage of the two superstars working together on their hit collaboration, “Hate Me.” The track, released in June, went on to become a Top 40 hit in the UK, and landed in the Top 20 of the U.S. Mainstream Top 40 chart.

DUA LIPA, GREEN DAY TO PERFORM AT WEST COAST ‘NEW YEAR’S ROCKIN’ EVE’: Dua Lipa, Green Day, Paula Abdul and more are set to perform at the West Coast version of ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest. Salt-N-Pepa, Megan Thee Stallion, Dan + Shay, Kelsea Ballerini, Blanco Brown, Anthony Ramos, SHAED and Ava Max will also be taking the stage. Ciara will be hosting the West Coast celebration and performing her new song “Melanin” while Billy Porter will be hosting a bash from New Orleans. Seacrest will be joined by Lucy Hale for the New Year’s Eve countdown from New York City’s Times Square. Performers for the New Orleans and New York City celebrations will be announced at a later date. Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest will be aired live starting on December 31st at 8 p.m. [ET].

DAN + SHAY (AND MAYBE JUSTIN BIEBER) TO SPEND TIME’ ON THE ICE AT NHL WINTER CLASSIC: Dan + Shay will provide the entertainment at the 2020 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic, an outdoor matchup between the Nashville Predators and the Dallas Stars that’ll take place outdoors on New Year’s Day at Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas. The duo will perform during the game’s first intermission, and it’ll be televised on NBC in the U.S. and on Sportsnet and TVA Sports in Canada. Additional performers will be announced soon. Dan + Shay’s latest hit “10,000 Hours” features Justin Bieber, a Canadian and a massive hockey fan, so it’s possible that he might show up for the performance. The 2020 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic is the first regular NHL regular-season outdoor game for both teams, and is part of a tradition the league established in 2008.
