The Pelaton Woman Drinks Gin

We first met the now-notorious “Peloton woman” in a controversial holiday ad at the end of a yearlong fitness journey launched by her husband. (He gifted her the bike, in what many interpreted as a sexist order to lose weight).

But it seems Ryan Reynolds is as ready to have fun with the viral message many others are. He opted to save her from her life of cycling with a cocktail and a much-needed ladies night out. In a video posted to Reynold’s Twitter, the woman can be seen staring blankly at the camera as she and two other women toast to “new beginnings.”

The caption: “Exercise bike not included.”

After the outcry, Peloton defended the ad, telling CNN: “We constantly hear from our members how their lives have been meaningfully and positively impacted after purchasing or being gifted a Peloton Bike or Tread, often in ways that surprise them. Our holiday spot was created to that fitness and wellness journey.”
