CHRISTIAN BALE TURNED DOWN FOURTH BATMAN BECAUSE … The Dark Knight Rises would have been Christian Bale‘s last Batman film if Warner Bros. had its druthers, but he bowed out. The star tells the Toronto Sun: “When they came [to us after ‘Batman Begins’] and said, ‘You want to go make another?’ It was fantastic, but we still said, ‘This is it. We will not get another opportunity. ‘Then they came and they said, ‘OK, let’s do the third one.’ Chris had always said to me that if we were fortunate to be able to make three we would stop. ‘Let’s walk away after that,’ he said. Then when they inevitably came to us and said, ‘How about a No. 4?’ I said, ‘No. We have to stick to Chris’ dream, which was always to, hopefully, do a trilogy. Let’s not stretch too far and become overindulgent and go for a fourth.’”

ICONIC PRINCESS DIANA DRESS HEAD FOR AUCTION: A beautiful piece of pop culture history is headed for the auction block. The Victor Edelstein blue velvet gown that Princess Diana famously wore to a White House state dinner in 1985 will be auctioned on December 9th. Diana famously danced with John Travolta to music from Saturday Night Fever at the event, and the moment went ultra-viral (for the 80s). “This is considered one of the most important and iconic gowns ever worn by the princess,” Lucy Bishop of Kerry Taylor Auctions told The Independent. “The photos of her being twirled around on the dance floor by a handsome John Travolta at the White House caused a sensation at the time, and remain so memorable today.”

MIKE ‘THE SITUATION’ SORRENTINO’S WIFE LAUREN SUFFERS MISCARRIAGE: Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino‘s wife Lauren, has revealed that she suffered a miscarriage after getting pregnant the night he was released from prison. She shared the sad news on ABC‘s Strahan, Sara and Keke Monday, explaining, “at about six and half, seven weeks I miscarried.” The pair shared their first wedding anniversary on November 1st.

SONJA MORGAN BOOTED FROM BAR: Real Housewives of New York star Sonja Morgan was ousted from a Philadelphia piano bar in the city’s so-called “Gayborhood.” She was booted after singing “Hello Dolly!” Page Six reports. Reached for comment, Morgan confirmed to Page Six that she’d been kicked out, explaining, “I was with friends who were singing at the piano, like we do at [Upper East Side bar] the Townhouse, and the piano player said, ‘Remove her!'” Morgan adds that she doesn’t know what went wrong, but speculates that she shouldn’t have touched the mic. “I don’t know what the etiquette is, but I noticed [the previous singer] just sang into it with no hands.”
