AMAS TELECAST TO INCLUDE A JONAS BROTHERS PERFORMANCE LIVE FROM BOSTON: The Jonas Brothers have been added to the star-studded performers roster for the upcoming 2019 American Music Awards. Nick, Joe, and Kevin won’t actually be in the house with the rest of the performers though. Their performance will be live streamed for their tour stop in Boston on November 24th. This marks the JoBros’ first time on the AMAs since 2007 and they have two nominations. The group is up for Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock and Favorite Song – Pop/Rock. Some of the other performers this year include Taylor Swift, Lizzo, Camila Cabello, Shania Twain, Selena Gomez, and more.
LIZZO SUED FOR DEFAMATION BY POSTMATES DRIVER: Lizzo is being sued for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress by a former Postmates driver after she accused her of stealing her food. The driver, Tiffany Wells, claims that she is concerned for her safety and no longer works for Postmates due to the incident. The suit claims Wells delivered a Postmates order from a Massachusetts lobster restaurant to the Revere Hotel in Boston in September. Wells says after arriving at the hotel, she attempted to contact Lizzo several times and, after not receiving a response, she left. An outraged Lizzo tweeted Wells’s name and Postmates photo, claiming, “Hey @Postmates this girl Tiffany W. stole my food she lucky I don’t fight no more.” Lizzo later apologized writing, “I apologize for putting that girl on blast. I understand I have a large following and that there were so many variables that could’ve put her in danger. I’m a really be more responsible with my use of social media and check my petty and my pride at the door.”
