Camila Cabello just got her first tattoo.

The fresh ink, done by Los Angeles artist Kane Navasard, is on the inside of her pinky finger and reads, “it’s a mystery.” In an Instagram post, Camila noted that the tattoo, which is a quote from her favorite film, Shakespeare in Love, is an honor to her mother, Sinuhe Estrabao.

“Never thought I’d get a tattoo before but I asked my mom to write to me a promise she’d want me to make to her that she thought i would need for the rest of my life, long story short, it’s a pinky swear to her to remember, no matter what happens, everything is gonna turn out well. There’s no telling how, but it always does ,” Camila wrote.

Camila’s boyfriend Shawn Mendes joined her at the tattoo studio and added to his ever-growing collection. Mendes opted for a different tattoo, adding a small “A” behind his right ear as a tribute to his 16-year-old sister, Aaliyah Mendes.

Meanwhile, Camila has released a new song called “Living Proof” from her upcoming album Romance.

“THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVE SONGS I WROTE FOR THE ALBUM,” Camila wrote on Instagram, quoting a line from the song’s chorus: “There’s God in every move…. and you’re the living proof.”

Camila also sings, “Like a choir singing ‘Hallelujah’/When my body’s crashin’ right into you…Where did you come from, baby?/And were you sent to save me?”

Romance is available for pre-order now; it’s out on December 6th.
