TRU Volleyball and Basketball split weekend series

KAMLOOPS — -It was a .500 weekend for the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men’s volleyball team.

After beating the Alberta Golden Bears on Friday (Nov 8), the Pack came up short on Saturday night (Nov 9) at the Tournament Capital Centre. Alberta took the Pack 3-0.

The TRU women’s volleyball team moved back into the win column as they rallied from a first set loss to take the Alberta Pandas 3-1 in Canada West women’s volleyball action at the Tournament Capital Centre

The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack are coming out of Kelowna with a spit with the University of British Columbia Okanagan Heat in Canada West women’s basketball. After losing to the UBCO Heat on Friday (Nov 8), the Pack came out Saturday (Nov 9) with a 68-59 victory. The win improves the Pack’s record to 3-1 while the Heat fall to 1-3. Jordan Haggerty led TRU with 25 points.

The men’s basketball team also came out with a split, losing the first game 93-91 and taking the second game 85-59.
