KAMLOOPS – The South Kam football season is over, losing by one point to Robert Bateman on Friday (Nov. 8) in a crazy wildcard game at Hillside Stadium.

The Titans, hosting a playoff game at home for the first time in about a decade, lost an 8-7 contest to the visitors. Mike MacDonald, third in AA high school football rushing coming into the game, scoring on a touchdown to give South Kam a 7-0 lead at halftime.

“It was very disappointing to lose this one. To be a few plays away from advancing to the quarter-finals is a bitter pill to swallow,” said Titans Head Coach, JP Lancaster, “But that’s playoff football. This was a back and forth game that literally came down to the last play. Unfortunately someone has to lose, and this year it was us.”

The home side gave up a punt block in the end zone for a safety, then gave up a score in the third quarter to get down. The Titans couldn’t manage to put a drive together to win the game.
