HARRY STYLES TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM IN DECEMBER: Harry Styles will release a new album in December. The 25-year-old shared a title, Fine Line, a release date, December 13th, and cover art for the project on Twitter. The album cover shows Styles wearing a pink shirt and white pants in a blue and pink room. The photo was taken with a fisheye lens, distorting the image. “FINE LINE. THE ALBUM. DEC 13,” Styles captioned the post. Fine Line is Styles’ second studio album as a solo artist. The album includes the single “Lights Up,” which Styles released a music video for in October. Styles told Rolling Stone in August that his new album is “all about having sex and feeling sad.” Styles will host and perform during the November 16th episode of Saturday Night Live, prior to Fine Line’s release.
KENNY G BACK ON THE CHARTS THANKS TO KANYE WEST: Kenny G is back on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time in more than 19 years thanks to Kanye West. Kenny is one of the guest artists on Kanye’s new gospel album Jesus Is King; he plays his signature soprano sax on the song “Use This Gospel.” The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, but all the individual tracks on the album have also charted on the Hot 100, including “Use This Gospel,” which is currently No. 37. Kenny G is now only the fifth artist to have scored at least one top-40 hit in the ’80s, ’90s, 2000s and 2010s. The other four are Michael Jackson, Madonna, U2 and “Weird Al” Yankovic. Prior to the Kanye hit, the last time Kenny appeared on the chart was in January 2000, with his top 10 version of “Auld Lang Syne.”
BTS MEMBER JUNGKOOK INVESTIGATED OVER CAR ACCIDENT: BTS Member Jungkook is being investigated by authorities in South Korea after he allegedly caused a traffic accident. The 22-year-old singer reportedly admitted to causing the car accident on Saturday by violating traffic laws. Big Hit Entertainment, the agency behind BTS, released a statement saying, “We apologize again to the victim and also to fans for causing concern.” Jungkook was booked by Seoul police and his case is being investigated. While he and the other driver both sustained minor injuries, no serious injury was caused. A settlement has already been reached between the two parties. Authorities say that drunk driving was not a factor in the accident.
