Roughly 70 per cent of voters went to the polls in Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo

KAMLOOPS — It’s a slight dip from voter turnout numbers in 2015, but this federal election 70 per cent of Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo voters made it to the polls.

The numbers are just an estimate right now, as Elections Canada will verify final results over the next few days.

Right now, numbers show 71,703 of 102,759 registered voters went to the polls in our riding.

That’s compared to the estimated national turnout of roughly 66 per cent.
