Coldplay’s Promise to Fans
Coldplay has confirmed that it will return in November with a new double album called Everyday Life. The band announced the news in typewritten letters sent to members of its fan club, writing, “One half is called Sunrise, the other Sunset. It comes out on November 22nd.” The letters add, “It is sort of how we feel about things.”
Recent reports suggested that the British quartet would issue a more “experimental” album next month, followed by a “mainstream” record in 2020. It is unclear whether Coldplay has combined these two LPs into one double release, or if the group does have more in store for fans next year.
A more wide-ranging official announcement is expected shortly. In the meantime, Coldplay has updated its website and social media profiles with new branding. New publicity posters have also been spotted in Berlin London,, Hong Kong, Madrid, Munich, So Paulo, and Sydney. The band also tweeted the image along with a brief snippet of music.
Coldplay’s last album, A Head Full Of Dreams, came out in December 2015. Since then, the band has released a pair of EPs, 2017’s Kaleidoscope and 2018’s Global Citizen – EP 1, as well as the Live In Buenos Aires album and concert film.
