Jennifer Broke the ‘Gram

In a recent interview with ET, Jennifer Aniston admitted that she was considering joining Instagram because it allowed celebs to control their own narrative. On Tuesday, she made her musings a reality by joining the media platform, and actually crashing her page temporarily due to the excitement.

It was soon back up and running, but users reported other issues, with many being shown a page that read, “Sorry, this page isn’t available.”

Many hopped over to Twitter to share their frustration.

“Everyone in the world is trying to follow Jennifer Aniston on Instagram at the moment and it won’t let me….. #amsad,” one user wrote on Twitter.

Her first post was a selfie with all five of her Friends costars.

“And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM,” she captioned the post, in which she smiles alongside Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc.

Also “friends” with Aniston is her ex-husband, Justin Theroux. He was one of the first to comment on her inaugural post, writing, “Woot-Woot! #first,” and become one of the hundreds of thousands who quickly followed her.

Theroux was one of the few profiles she followed in return.
