Twelve-year-old hit by truck while bicycling in 100 Mile House
100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — A 12-year-old youth suffered minor injuries after being struck by a truck while riding his bicycle.
RCMP say the collision occurred yesterday (Oct.10) at around 3:20 p.m. on Taylor Way.
“An investigation determined that a 12-year-old youth was riding his bike on a crosswalk from Highway 97 onto Taylor Way when he was struck by the southbound truck,” says Cpl. Ryder Birtwistle.
“The youth was wearing a helmet and suffered minor injuries, he was transported by ambulance to a local area hospital for further assessment.”
