Struck gas line shuts down West Victoria Street

KAMLOOPS — West Victoria Street is shut down in both directions after a gas line was struck.
FortisBC spokesperson Diana Sorace says a third-party struck the line while doing work in the area of the Victoria Street West improvements project.
“It did take out service to a warehouse that’s there and we have our crews en route to repair that line and it approximately will take about three hours,” Sorace says. “During that time there won’t be any disruption to service for any customers around the area just to that one warehouse, but we are having to close the road in both directions as we work on the repairs.”
Sorace urges people to call or click before they dig.
