The Mustard Seed puts out call for Thanksgiving volunteers

Oct 8, 2019 | 4:20 PM

KAMLOOPS — The Mustard Seed is preparing for its annual Thanksgiving meal and is putting out the call for volunteers.

The non-profit is hoping to serve around 350 people on Monday, Oct. 14.

Managing Director Mario Borba says the Mustard Seed is in need of volunteers to assist with prep work and cooking.

“Cooking 350 turkey meals is not very easy,” he said. “We’re going to have a donation coming soon, on Thursday, for 20 frozen turkeys which need to be prepared, and also serving the population that we serve and building that relationship which is important as well.”

To volunteer, phone Kat at (250) 434-9898 or email kat@theseed.ca.
