ROAD CLOSURE

UPDATE: Highway 1 now open east of Cache Creek

CACHE CREEK, B.C. — UPDATE: The highway has now reopened.

EARLIER: A crash has closed the Trans-Canada Highway near Cache Creek.

According to Drive BC, Highway 1 is closed in both directions east of Cache Creek due to a crash at Back Valley Road.

There’s currently no estimated time of opening.

An assessment is in progress, and a detour is not available at this time.
