MEGHAN TRAINOR TO REPLACE JENNIFER HUDSON ON ‘THE VOICE UK’: Meghan Trainor is replacing Jennifer Hudson as a coach on The Voice UK. She’ll join Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am, legendary Welsh vocalist Tom Jones and British pop star Olly Murs on the panel. Emma Willis will return to present. Filming begins in October, and the series will hit ITV in the New Year. Hudson revealed that she left the show due to “filming commitments.” She will star in the film adaptation of Cats, and she is also filming the Aretha Franklin biopic Respect. Meanwhile, after teasing it last month, calling it one of her favorites she’s ever written, Trainor has released her new track “Wave.” The “Wave” music video is set to premiere on October 7th. Meghan’s new album, Treat Myself, still doesn’t have a release date but she’s been keeping busy, releasing the song “Genetics” as part of the soundtrack for the Netflix movie Tall Girl and covered the Friends theme song, “I’ll Be There for You” by The Rembrandts, for the show’s 25th anniversary.

CREW MEMBER ELECTROCUTED ON CELINE DION’S ‘COURAGE’ TOUR: A crew member was electrocuted on Celine Dion’s Courage tour – and survived. A source told the New York Post’s Page Six: “He was electrocuted at the Bell Centre while climbing in the rigging 50 feet above her stage. He was thrown off the rigging, dislocating his shoulder, but was caught by a safety harness and survived.” The incident happened in the same week that Dion announced she had to postpone four shows on her Courage tour due to a minor throat virus. Celine was due to play The Bell Centre Montreal on September 26th, 27th, 30th and October 1st, but the shows have been pushed back to November 18th, 19th, and 21st, while the October 1st concert will now take place on November 22nd.
