Prince Harry Shows his Love of Africa

Prince Harry is sharing why he is so deeply connected to Africa. He and wife Meghan Markle are on a 10-day royal tour of Africa with their son Archie.

The 35-year-old royal said: “I came in ’97/’98, straight after my mum died, so it was a nice place to get away from it all. But now I feel deeply connected to this place and to Africa.”

His mother Princess Diana died in August of 1997 when Harry was 12. On this trip, he will visit Angola, where his mother spent time just months before her death. Diana’s work in Angola clearing landmines has been lauded.

CLIMATE CHANGE

Harry also spoke out about climate change. He started his day at the Chobe Forest Tree Reserve, joining children in planting trees to raise awareness of the region’s fragile ecosystem.
