KAMLOOPS — UPDATE: Kamloops RCMP have made an arrest in Friday’s Sa-Hali Secondary threat.

According to a release from RCMP Staff Sgt. Ed Preto, an 18-year-old male was arrested today.

Preto says the suspect is being held in custody and will have a court appearance Saturday (Sept. 21).

EARLIER: Officials at Sa-Hali Secondary says they have rescheduled all weekend activities after a second threat at the school in the past three days.

According to the school’s website, RCMP are investigating the threats and the activities will be rescheduled “as to not impede the investigation.”

Classes were disrupted by the threat and investigation Friday morning, though the school says everything was back to normal Friday afternoon.

The spate of disruptions due to threats has school district officials considering equipping schools with surveillance cameras.
