KAMLOOPS — One of the teenaged missionaries involved in a crash north of Kamloops on Friday has died.

Daniel Woodruff, a spokesperson for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) tells CFJC Today that Bryant Keck died from his injuries today (Sept. 17).

Keck, 19, is originally from Sanford, Colorado but according to his Facebook page, he moved to Kamloops less than one month ago.

In a news release issued Saturday, Kamloops RCMP said a northbound pickup on Highway 5 North hit an SUV that had entered the road from the Old Highway 5 junction.

The two teens were in the SUV. The occupants of the pickup were not hurt.

Woodruff says Keck passed away with his mother by his side this afternoon.

The other teenage missionary, Dallin Thompson, is also aged 19 and remains in hospital with serious injuries.

Woodruff says the church continues to pray for Thompson and his family, along with the individuals in the other vehicle.
