Shuswap, Okanagan Valley under severe thunderstorm watch

KAMLOOPS — A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for several areas of BC today, including the Shuswap and Okanagan Valley.

According to Environment Canada, conditions are ripe for severe thunderstorms to form, which could bring heavy rain and large hail.

The greatest risk areas include the North and Central Okanagan, Shuswap, Arrow Lakes – Slocan Lake, and West Columbia.
