Life Changing for Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X is on the cover of British GQ — and is opening up about his personal life. The “Old Town Road” singer revealed how his life has been since coming out of the closet. He said, “Since I came out, people have been coming up to me saying, ‘You’re making a way for us.'”

He continued, “Live your life to its fullest potential and don’t really care too much about what other people think of you. I used to say that clich, but I never really lived by it, until now.”

On how his life has been since the success of Old Town Road, he said “I’m still in the first stage of figuring out who I am. I don’t know what kind of music I’ll be making ten years from now. I want to do everything and I’m still learning how I work. But the one thing I’ll always know is that people don’t know what they want until they get it. They didn’t know they wanted a song about taking a horse to the old town road in 2019. But they did.”

Lil Nas X added that right now, he is just trying to do everything he can with his success. He explained, “That’s my philosophy right now…do everything you can because [snap!]…it could all go in a second.”

Meanwhile, in an interview with Paper, he also talked about some of his online antics before he got famous. He said, “I do try to stay positive online. A lot of the stuff I used to do years before would sometimes go too far. I know I have a platform now, so there’s more of a need to make sure nothing is hurtful or too crazy.”
