BIG Little Science Centre celebrates 50th anniversary of moon landing

KAMLOOPS — The BIG Little Science Centre has a full day of activities planned to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first steps taken on the moon.

Starting at 10 a.m today (July 20), the Kamloops centre will host a live broadcast from the Canadian Space Agency about the anniversary, and the future of space travel.

Throughout the afternoon, space buffs can get a tour of a scale model of the Apollo Saturn V rocket, use Virtual Reality systems to fly a spacecraft, a Jet Simulator, and much more.

The event runs from 10 a.m to 4 p.m from the BIG Little Science Centre, located at 655 Holt St.
