Over 1,000 lbs of food bank donations collected at Sun Peaks Summer High Five Day

SUN PEAKS — The numbers are in, and Sun Peaks Resort’s Summer High Five Day has proven to be a record setting success.

Monday, July 15, the semi-annual event offered full day lift passes to visitors, with a $5 donation and non-perishable food donation.

This year, over $4,500 was raised for the Sun Peaks Recreational Trail Association, and over 1,000 lbs of non-perishable food items was donated for the Kamloops Food Bank.

In a release, the resort thanks everyone who helped out at the event and pitched in to break the summer High Five Day record.
