Frenchy’s Prowlers keep championship hopes alive with Game 2 win
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Major Men’s Fastball League championship will go to a third and deciding game after the Frenchy’s Prowlers out of Chase stayed alive with a Game 2 win on Tuesday night.
The Prowlers blew things open with seven runs in the top of the seventh to beat HD Bombers 10-8 to even the best-of-three final series at a game each.
Steve Davidson was the winning pitcher for Frenchy’s, adding a solo homer to the offensive attack. Eli Jules went 4-for-4 at the plate, including a homer. Scott Austin took the loss for the HD Bombers.
The Prowlers led 3-2 going into the 7th before getting their seven runs to seemingly put the game out of reach. But the Bombers responded with six of their own in the bottom of the seventh to make it close.
