Kamloops RCMP respond to fatal motorcycle incident

KAMLOOPS — A late night motorcycle incident has proven fatal for a Kamloops man.

In a release today, Kamloops RCMP say they responded to the intersection of Richmond Avenue and Schubert Drive around 11:20 p.m last night for a vehicle incident.

A motorcycle and parked vehicle collided, which closed the nearby roads in the area.

A 34-year-old man driving the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene, and it is believed he is a Kamloops resident.

Police say early evidence indicates that speed is a contributing factor to the accident.
