KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP would like your help tracking a driver responsible for a hit-and-run earlier this month.

According to RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie, the incident happened Saturday, June 15, near the Rock’n Firkin Sports Pub and Grill on Sydney Avenue.

At about 10:00 that evening, a man and woman left the pub without paying their bill. A customer followed them out, telling them they needed to pay up.

Shelkie says that’s when the encounter became confrontational. The male dine-and-dasher got into his vehicle and sped toward the customer, hitting him and driving away.

The victim was seriously injured, though Shelkie says the injuries were not life-threatening.
