KAMLOOPS — The first of two big weekends of baseball begins tonight at McArthur Island in the Daley and Company Canada Day Baseball Classic.
Ten teams from B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan will play in two five team pools.
The host Kamloops RiverDogs will play in one of the first two games tonight at 7pm at Norbrock, against Sherwood Park.
Organizers have their fingers crossed that it won’t be a repeat of last year when closure of fields because of weather conditions wiped out the last couple of days of the tournament, with no champion crowned.
