Man in custody after heavy police presence in Brocklehurst

KAMLOOPS — A wanted man has been captured after a heavy police presence in the Brocklehurst neighbourhood this morning (June 27).

Kamloops RCMP say in a news release that just before 7:00 a.m., an officer on patrol saw a suspect who is wanted for theft and breach of a conditional sentence order.

When the officer attempted to stop him he ran away.

Several RCMP members responded to the Holt Street area this morning to set up a perimeter.

They were able to locate him roughly 45 minutes later and arrested him.
