Province seeks input on improving Trans Canada in the Shuswap

SORRENTO, B.C. — B.C.’s transportation ministry is inviting Shuswap residents to share their input on potential changes to a busy intersection along the Trans Canada Highway.

The ministry is looking to improve Highway 1 at Balmoral Road, about 10 kilometres east of Sorrento. The ministry says that intersection “has experienced a higher than average rate of collisions.”

An open house is scheduled for Wednesday, June 26, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Shuswap Lake Estates Lodge in Blind Bay.
