Lumber truck crash temporarily closes Highway 5A

KAMLOOPS — UPDATE: The highway is now partially open.

EARLIER: Highway 5A is closed Friday afternoon after lumber truck crash.

According to Drive BC, the crash happened near Beresford Road and Separation Lake, south of Kamloops. A B-train semi overturned, spilling its load of lumber.

The highway is closed in both directions. and traffic is backing up.
