Johnny Depp has settled a legal issue with two of his ex-bodyguards, E! reports. Per court docs obtained by the site, Depp “reached a conditional settlement which settles and resolved the entire matter as to each defendant and each plaintiff.”

Terms were not disclosed.

In May, retired LAPD detective Eugene Arreola and Miguel Sanchez sued him, claiming the Pirates of the Caribbean star owed them money for unpaid wages and overtime; they also claimed he wrongfully terminated them. Documents also claimed that they were “exposed to unsafe working conditions and essentially used as baby sitters and chauffeurs for Depp, his children and his entourage.”

FAST FACTS:

  • The beleaguered 55-year-old has been at the center of several scandals in recent years. As a result, acting gigs may dry up, observers speculate. According to a report in Forbes, Disney is seriously mulling firing Depp from its Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Because of salary and insurance requirements, the House of Mouse could save almost $90 million (a hefty helping of its $230 million budget) by losing Captain Jack Sparrow.
  • His divorce from Amber Heard keeps making waves as well. Per a recent report in The Hollywood Reporter, Heard and Depp used to refer to “his other personality” as “the monster.”
