Blazers fall to last in B.C. Division and Western Conference

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers continue to struggle on the road, losing 4-1 at Victoria and 7-4 to the Vancouver Giants on the weekend.

They’ve lost 13 in a row away, and have fallen into last place in the B.C. Division and Western Conference.

With 33 points in 40 games the Blazers are two points behind Prince George for the final Western Conference wild card playoff.

In Friday’s loss in Victoria Jermaine Loewen ended a lengthy scoring drought with is 12th of the season.

Loewen added two more in Saturday’s loss to Vancouver.

Travis Walton with his 1st of the season and Kobe Mohr his 5th had the other Blazers goals.

The Blazers will play 19 of their remaining 28 games at home, beginning tomorrow night against Moose Jaw, before hosting the league leading Prince Albert Raiders on Friday.
