Prince Phillip’s Crash Details

A witness in Prince Philip‘s recent car crash has come forward with distressing details. The 97-year-old Duke of Edinburgh appeared dazed and then reportedly told witnesses that he was “such a fool” after getting into a car crash near his Sandringham estate.

He had to be pulled from his upturned Land Rover after crashing into a Kia Thursday afternoon. The three people in the car, a 28-year-old mother and her 9-month old son, along with another 45-year-old woman, were fine though the two women did have to go to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

WITNESS REPORT

A witness told The Sun: “The prince steadied himself for ten minutes after the crash then started worrying about the others.

“He walked slowly down the path towards the crashed car without his protection officers and said, ‘Is everyone all right?’

“I wasn’t going to lie to him, so I said, ‘Not really’.

“I told him the baby was fine – but we thought the passenger had broken her arm.

“He looked so worried and told me, ‘I’m such a fool’.”

Philip later reportedly told witnesses that “the sun was low and I couldn’t see.”

The smash-up has raised questions about whether he should have been driving at all at his advanced age, with many on social media urging to royal, who recently retired from public life, to “turn over his license.” No go, according to the latest report, which had him driving a car less than 48 hours after the crash, sans seatbelt!

Police reportedly had a talking to with the Duke after photos of him driving without a belt surfaced, issuing “suitable words of advice” to the royal.

QUEEN

The 92-year-old Queen Elizabeth, meanwhile, isn’t improving the public’s perception of the couple’s right to the road. The Queen was spotted behind the wheel of her Range Rover on a public road without her seatbelt on as well.

Due to a quirk in English law, she is the only person in Great Britain permitted to sit behind the wheel without a driver’s license.
