KAMLOOPS — A man facing charges in connection to a downtown business raid last month has been granted bail.

Charles Gerald Patrick, 62, is facing charges of possession of a firearm contrary to an order, as a result of a search warrant that was executed at a downtown Kamloops business in December 2018.

Court records show Patrick was released on a $100,000 bail today, with a $15,000 deposit and a surety.

The charges were in connection to a lengthy, nearly year-long investigation by Kamloops RCMP.

Police began their investigation into Patrick and 35-year-old Cameron Cole last January, when officers attended a home on Badger Drive in Dallas for a report of a home invasion.

Officers executed a search warrant on the home and found several firearms, bomb-making materials, a quantity of cash and narcotics inside. Another search was conducted at a home in Westsyde days later. Both homes were allegedly used by Cole.

Cole is facing a lengthy list of charges, several of them involving firearms.
